The year has finally come to an end. 2007 started off sucky for me. i was thrown into a lower class for my bad results last year while my friends were in another class together. but i did get to know a lot of people this year and do a lot of different things.

I attended jazz fest for my 5th time.

I spent 3 days with a whole bunch of fun kids in VBS.

I got a new hobby.no its not checking chicks out.

I visited east malaysia for the first time.

and climbed its highest peak.

and saw the most beautiful sight ever.

I dressed up as a pirate,again.[used my sarung,again.]

Learned a couple of freezes.

Got to know the klang bunch.

I finally got to pose on my roof.

I made the best shelter and killed and cooked a rabbit for survival camp.

I played for a rally for the first time.

I became a leo member.

Said goodbye to dear friends of mine.

Said hello to old ones.

Tried rock climbing for the first time.

Watched childhood friends become rockstars.

and walked around a mall and hotel barefooted.

what a year.

i love skateboarding. its too bad i have broken trucks that need to be replaced so i can't continue.well anyway, i still can watch skateboarding.hahaha. yesterday i went to some Comp in mont kiara skatepark with emmanuel and wheng chung. the malaysians sucked,sadly. singaporeans ruled the park. dangit. and theres this 12 year old kid creaming all the old farts. Pa'din musa was there too[malaysia's ex best]. and of course, the bladers were being gay with their grinds. not interesting at all. hahaha. it was friggin hot. but anyway, i got some good shots thankfully.

Well, though Christmas this year wasn't much of a big deal cuz we had to do the stupid musical and cancel caroling, i did do a few nice things.

Me and my sisters are incredibly tired of this musical. a lot of effort put into it. if u add up the hours it took for preparation, it would be 2 weeks non stop. do the math. well, i'd say it was half worth it cuz the audience enjoyed it. but it practically took up my holidays. haha. after lunch we went to my mom's friends hse which is damn nice. he's some malay multi millionaire who opened his hse for Christmas. i met acap there too. what a small world.hahaha.

Light a Candle..

No matter how racist or religionist this country can be, i'm truly certain that almost every race in malaysia loves Christmas. there has never been any holiday or celebration that has been as warming, jolly, and not to mention yummy, as Christmas.

Right now i'm not here to give the ol' boring msg about what Christmas really means. i just want to appreciate such a wonderful holiday that God has given to us.

Go to any shopping mall throughout the year, no festival celebration decor suits the shopping malls, or streets, other than Christmas ones. just to walk around in a mall like the curve already gives a nice warm feeling, as if i'm drinking hot chocolate on a cold day. Christmas is also the most multi coloured season in the world. other seasons are strictly red, or green, or yellow, or weird.

But no doubt the funniest is us asians, celebrating Christmas in a tropical country. what we all talk about or have any idea of christmas, is usually snow. Just today, it was blistering hot and we were all "yay!christmas is coming!".hahaha.

What a wonderful season this is. At times like this, its so nice to have family and friends around.

Thank You Lord for such a wonderful holiday.

Battle of the bands kinda sucked . they called some lousy bands to do opening acts. we stood there for 2 friggin hours before BusCo finally came on. Busco did an incredible job. i really was sooo impressed. they've improved 10x from what they were last year. They really gave what any BOB judge would have wanted. it was amazing. Therefore, they didn't just win, they DESERVED to win.

it was all gooooood. 4 days past incredibly fast. and nobody wanted to go home after that.hahaha. but no doubt that CAMERONS SUCKS wei. everyone was sick going up, and sick going down. and the place we stayed wasn't even nice, and the food sucked too. the ride there itself is as long as going down to singapore.

My team was awesome la. at pre camp they all shy shy, but at camp, everything came out. and JARON TAN, ur darn funny wei. Hydrowar was cool, but my gun sucked, so i ditched it and ran around with my flag. and we won in the end.whee! justin's worship session was possibly the best i've ever been in. hmm, what else a bout camp?oh, and i performed the song i wrote. and managed to keep in tune.hahahaha. but best of all, i won BEST NEW MALE CAMPER. yay!

I am soooooo hyped for camp mannnn.... mannn. just 2 more friggin days of quick packing, finishing up these damn nametags and flag, finding a watergun, and most importantly, getting a haircut, and its finally here!!!

4 days away from the house and into the cool breeze that i haven't been in for 13 years. and best of all, being able to rock the stage when we want..

k dudes and dudettes, time for some christian values. i don't think i've ever done a post like this before, but let me tell yah, its worth reading.

Lately i've been reading a book by john eldgredge called Waking the dead. What came out of it really answered a lot of questions christians ask today. Backed up by a whole load of verses from the bible, John clearly put it this way. Our Hearts are most important to us. In the bible, notice every apostle,every prophet, every man or woman of God always asks God for one thing, Give me a heart that is clean and pure. oh, but u know what stinks? our hearts are also the weakest. and yes, the devil knows it. but do we? why do u think we always feel lost inside, feel we have failed ourselves and those around us, feel its all coming down? its simple, the devil is robbing our hearts and filling it with grief.

I give u the simplest example. Spiderman 1. The green goblin knew that it would actually be impossible to kill spiderman. but he knew another way to destroy him, "We attack his heart!", the goblin spirit said to Norman Osborn. He tried to kill the one peter parker loved, aunt may and mary jane. and in the end, he tried to kill spiderman and almost succeeded.

Earlier on i mentioned john backed up this truth with a whole load of verses. doesn't that make it even clearer? God has been hinting this truth to us and i don't know about you, but i never realized it.There is a constant battle between God and those who go against Him. The part of the bible that shows this is, remember daniel? daniel was fasting and praying for three weeks, asking God to show him a sign,a miracle, an answer. He was wondering, has God really given up on me?why isn't He coming to rescue us all? finally after 3 weeks, an angel appeared to him and what he said, simplified, was "hey,sorry i'm late. God actually heard your prayer on the first day of these three weeks and asked me to answer it. but there was a demon trying to get in the way, so i had to call the big boss, gabriel, to come and help me get rid of it. finally after 3 weeks, i can come to you with good news."

God has always been trying to give us our hearts, but we can't have it unless we want it. unless we lay down whatever is important to us, our jobs, our studies or whatever is making us bored and go grab our hearts.

It is sad to say though, one of the reasons why we don't know this is the church has been telling us otherwise. the concept we've been taught is that adam sinned, and therefore we have sinned and our hearts are wicked and evil. that is not true. When Jesus came down, He didn't not only to take away our sins, He came to give life and life to the full. now, what is life? where can u find life? no where other than the heart.Jesus actually changed humanity,for real. why do u think the movies always say "follow your heart." and in the end of the story, they always achieve happiness. its a fairytale,really. But its no doubt that the devil is still trying to take our hearts away from us. and from the looks of it, he is really succeeding. just take a look at any church today, well most churches, don't they look bored?doesn't any church go-er look like he's searching for something else?something that would give him a life?

Now, how do we guard our hearts?that my friends, i leave it to you to read WAKING THE DEAD. don't miss it.

As for my personal testimony, after reading one of john eldgrede books, Wild at Heart, which also talks about a man's heart, my life has never been the same. one or two friends of mine asked me why i was so boring last time as compared to now. they said i really changed after reading it. now thats what i call, never being the same. now i know the truth,

Its time for a new beginning, a new day.
