On The Wing.

Do you know what its like to wait 9 years for something not knowing what you're waiting for?
I went through that. and I thank God everyday that he managed to keep me waiting.

why?

because the day came when i found out why i was saving 9 years worth of cash for.
it all started when i was a kid...

I was small, naive and innocent. I looked at my jie, and my mei mei. they got a lot of cash for ang pau.probably more than what i got, difference is, they spent every single penny buying either clothes, jewelry or dolls. what did i do?I said "i'm gonna save my cash because there's gonna be a day where i'm really gonna need it to buy something or to give someone and i will have the money for it". yeah, what a stupid pansie, losers, mama's boy thing to do. but it all paid off because like i said, the day came. 9 friggin years later. [so now no one can say i don't have patience. haha]

in short, I bought my amazing, ever so sexy Ibanez SA260 FM.

To the guys in the picture below.. Melvin, Ivan, Andrew, the band that i never had. Thanks dudes for following me to bentley on that historical day. Andrew and Melvin, i know u missed futsal just for me. Ivan, the bro i never had, i know u got screwed by your insane addmath tuision teacher just so you could follow me. now thats love, people.haha. i must say that i'm really sorry it took 3 years for me to get the balls to pull the cash out of my pocket but tomorrow is a new day.

Now let's go rock the world!

and to my saviour.. Jesus Christ.Once again i can truly say that You have taken care of me and heard all my prayers. who'd ever think that a small missionary kid would ever get the cash to buy a beautiful piece of wood that expensive? Thank You so much for answering my prayers. Most important of all, I dedicate this guitar to You. I vow that it will only be used for Your will, to bring Your name to the ears who haven't heard it and to lift Your name higher. All glory to God.

Guys, for those who have never posted a comment
on any of my posts, this is your chance.
I need ideas for a name for her.
make it a sexy one.
ngekkk
haha.

For Heaven.

Adam awoke when he heard a voice. "adam, adam?".
"Yes Father?", he replied.
"Let's go for a walk in the garden.".

Adam is probably the only man who ever lived that got to have a simple walk with God in the park, just Father to son, God to man. They always say, a walk with God lasts your whole life. As much truth that is, I sometimes like to think of a walk with God, as simple as a short walk in the park.

My walk with God, would probably be high up on the mountains, early in the morning at the break of dawn. An breathtaking sunrise with golden rays that flood the sky would be there to greet us . Or it would be on a cool sandy beach on an island in the evening with our bare feet sinking into the soft sand and of course, a glorious sunset to end the day. Perfect.

Imagine that for a few seconds and hold that thought...

Sarah was on the computer yesterday. music came from the speakers. not any kind of music though, this one was different. Different in so many ways. it didn't feel like music that would usually make me get up and dance, music that would get me emo and start reflecting on life, music that would make me headbang out of my wits, no, this was extraordinary.

I slowly began to zone out, like i was in a dream because that's exactly what the music sounded like, an escape from the world into something heavenly. and no, i'm pretty sure it wasn't like going high on heroin. there was something peaceful in the music, something reassuring, something full of life.

Later on, she told me its this dude, Adam Young [what a coincidence, right?] who calls himself Port Blue. He mixes ambient sounds, kinda sounds like the ocean which is probably why he's got a thing for ports and the sea. its fully instrumental, no vocals, and he calls his music dreamscapes. What makes this dude's music special is that the music he makes, is inspired by his day to day walk with Jesus. I could actually imagine how his short simple 5 minute walk in every song looked like. its incredible.

I listen to bands who write songs that have a message to tell everyone. bands like Switchfoot question the corruption of the world and tell everyone where the answer in life lies in. but its really one thing to write powerful songs with mind blowing lyrics accompanied by incredible music and somthing totally different to make music painting heavenly chorusus coming from the sky or a simple walk in the park with the creator Himself. Music like this, brings so much more to life.

And this is why music was made.

In love with the 90's.

Teen drama.

when i found out that was the genre of the show, i laughed. laughed because i thought "this so is not sam's thing" but it rocks anyhow. aight sam, slow down. what are you talking about...?

90210 babyyy.

Its damn fake. the actors are just too hot. even the moms are hot. but nolahhh, thats not why i watch it. actually, i don't even know why i watch it. story gets corny too many times. but i guess its just the fact that i've started, and i have to watch till the end. and hey, some episodes even give a pretty good cliff hanger. so i'd be bringing my thumbdrive to school the next day, asking andrew paul to put in the next five episodes :P

Gossip girl addicts claim their show is better. matter of opinion, i know. i'm pretty sure a portion of them viewers watch for Chuck bass and for the guys, blake lively. so everyday its chuck bass this chuck bass that. and a month from now, it'll be some other guy. But us guys have to admit, we do the same. sure, Jessica alba and Angelina Jolie are always top. then theres others like kirsten bell, and the one treehill chick who's name i can't remember, and hayley williams and maria sharapova and for some, Megan fox. But thanks to 90210, and for the thriller fanatics; the hills have eyes 2 and prom night, we've found someone who can join jess and angelina in the top league...

Jessica Stroup.

can't deny it, can you?
ngekkk. haha

Their thoughts we can't decode.

Too long.

Too long have we lived in a world ruled by war, ruled by guns, ruled by men.

Too long have we told ourselves, "its not our problem."

We've had too many twisted thoughts when power was given to us to rule the world. we just end up gunning each other down, trying to find satisfaction in territory, in power.

The war in the middle east has been going on since biblical times. that's a few thousand years. What do most of us think? Palestinians are at fault. Israel is just defending itself. Some don't even think. some figure, "it doesn't bother me, i'm living the life i'm meant to live". I honestly can't even put my ground on the Israeli side. They were suppose to be God's chosen nation. the ones the whole earth would follow. But now, they're taking matters into their own hands, fighting over what might not necessarily belong to them.

While all this is going on, people suffer. they suffer the consequences of irresponsible and unjust leadership. Those who suffer are always the innocent ones. more specifically, the ones who are at the determining age of learning, whether or not what they learn is good or bad. The children.

Its beyond our imagination, what it must be like to live not knowing what lies ahead, not knowing whether that breath we just took, is our last. children are being killed. Starvation runs through the whole region, and now they're being shot. shot for the mistakes and greed of the generation that failed to fulfill its purpose, to teach the next, how to love one another.

People always say the most effective way of teaching, is to teach by example. its not a theory, its a fact. The experienced older people always have a huge influence on a younger, who are less capable of distinguishing between good or bad.

As i was looking at photos of children who died undeserving, i found what could be the most sick, unbelievable, disturbing photo in the world. I saw this.
..

Children are being thought to hate. even worse, to kill. the missiles say "with LOVE". this is the point where they don't know the difference between LOVE and HATE. killing is a way of love to them now. they've been brainwashed, taught to give back what was given to them, death. We all know that is not the way. and its definitely not the way God intended it to be.

God didn't mean for families to be separated by a single bullet.

Nor did God mean for us to starve.

But that's how we made it to be, a dog eat dog world. full of perverse intentions and wicked desires, where younger ones have to suffer for what their forefathers did. When i see photos like these, hear stories about children not knowing why they have to run,why they have to hide or why daddy didn't make it home today, i long more and more for the day Jesus comes back to correct the mistakes we've made.

How many more small lives have to end before we realize war is futile and love is our only solution?

Jesus there, in between.

Dawn Escapes.

"Happy New Year!", the shouts of many people to one another trying to overcome the pounding sounds of the exploding fireworks. Champagne is popped open and people have wide smiles stretched across their faces in hopes of a wonderful 2009 ahead.

and what was i doing? i was at home, with a cup of milk in one hand and a piece of cake in the other, reflecting on the previous 2008 and all its happiness. sadly, i didn't find too many. but i did collect a few highlights of the year that sure did catch my attention. glad that i have some photos to show. and here we go...

The year started with me doing my happy dance because I FREAKING MADE IT INTO PURE SCIENCE by a string. disappointments came later when i realized, my class ain't what i thought it would be. what a blow to the many dreams of a perfect sophomore year. but i did meet pretty insane cool bunch too.

and they took me out for my birthday!

Got a new clique .haha, not really.but we call ourselves the tripod/triangle. yea, how original, right?

Switchfoot came to town! God answered my prayers after 4 years. They were freaking awesome.

I joined a cell.

Skip straight to the mid-year. took my exams, and headed down to Singapore Camporama for holidays. it wasn't that great, to be honest. but it was my first international camp.and made a new friend there, he's chindian the only chindian to be found in singapore. haha.

We met phua chu kang there. and visited the singapore zoo.

Headed to putrajaya for an amazing fireworks show.

Went up against the rubberduckyschmuckies in treasure quest.

Then in August, one of the greatest things happened to me. Something i'll never forget. after some insane headbanging, jumping, screaming at the top of my lungs to get some stupid sticker, i was chosen to be part of MTV Asia Awards mosh pit! along with ivan, shawna and yilin.

made a bunch of new friends there.

That day was a real dream but not long after that, we had to return to reality. exams came along with that too. got through it day by day untill my birthday came. then it was time to partayyyy.

A well deserved charlie chaplain to that.

So came the end of the year. i took a couple of holidays with my family. it was incredibly short though, because my family is unusually in all directions. a 2 day trip down to melaka and PD had to suffice.

Tried Breaking the law.

Got an underwater camera for our entertainment.

yes,a satisfying holiday with my rather looney family.

Had tons of fun with the kids at vbs, towards the end of november.

Then the highlight of the year came. Mission trip to thailand! its been 5 years since PJ and Klang have had a joint mission trip. so this is the next generation.it was also my first time to thailand. in just 10 days, i fell in love with the country. seriously considering living there one day.

fell in love with the kids there.

Got my first snake bite. and lived to tell the tale, later on killed and cooked and ate the snake up. oh, and brought the skin back :)

A few darn cool jumping shots.[the camouflaged one is shawna btw.]

Tried fried grasshoppers, flies, bees and some other insects for the first time. and i'm not kidding when i say, they taste like chicken.

Remember Sungai Mekong from sejarah and geografi? yeap, thats it behind us.darn cool.

Then i came back. and missed the place sooooo much. sooo sooo much. wishing everyday that i could go back. anyway, i had to get ready for Youth camp. which came 2 days later...

Align Left
Visited friggin' cold peacehaven. again.

Re-united with Old friends who did the smart thing, studying overseas.

Re-united with family members too, all the way down in singapore for christmas. thats my couz from hongkong. haven't seen him in 2 years.

Visited the best place on earth again. Singapore zoo! and thats inuka, the awesome Polar Bear! i'm his no.1 fan .i actually met phua chu kang twice this year. so thats twice to the zoo, twice meeting gurmit singh.

And after 2 years, we still stick together, somehow.

Happy new year people!
